The Animations were part of the advertisement for the Exhibition but were also used as the Illustrations for the exhibition catalogue. They all were programmed in Processing. The simple animations should show the essence of every exhibited work.
The Catalogue should guide the visitor through the exhibition. Besides a short explanation of every exhibited works, every exhibiting group was also writing a short essay about the topic of Performative Bodies. This gave some further insights about the inspiration and further thoughts.
The biggest challenge of this project was to curate an exhibition with works, that didn't exist so far. But on an early stage it was already cleat that the topics of the exhibited works were all interfering in between human, things and technology. It was important to find a way to prepare a catalogue which was representative for all the exhibited works, without pressuring the groups to create content on a too early stage. A solution was to create generative graphics, which were dealing with the topic, but weren't showing the project itself.
Every project got a glowing sign which was using again each Illustration.
All headlines were handwritten and scanned.
